Shira Re’em — Community + Growth

People first.
Growth follows.

I build community as a business strategy — not a side program.

For over twelve years I’ve designed and led global ecosystems that turn customers into advocates, participation into adoption, and community into growth you can measure.

An advocacy engine built from zero inside large customer organizations.

Incremental GMV

Seller programs designed to move marketplace performance, not just sentiment.

Community designed and led at global scale, localized market by market.

Community members

Ecosystems where customers learn, connect and contribute back.

02 / How I think

Different problems. Same instinct.

I find the gap between what people need and what the business needs — then build the community, programs and systems that close it.

01 — Wix

How do passionate users become a global movement?

Designed the system that turned Wix Experts into Ambassadors who teach, lead, host events and grow local communities. Built the supporting team, community-led education, and partnerships with WeWork, CreativeMornings, Shutterstock, Square and Fiverr — and gave Ambassadors a direct line to Wix Product.

02 — Etsy

How do you keep a community close when it disagrees with a business decision?

Led seller engagement through a sensitive transaction-fee change, while building education that supported product adoption, community-led marketing for retention and acquisition, and a global seller leadership program.

Built when things get hard

How does community drive marketplace growth at global scale?

Built the global community organization and operating model across the US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia. Coached 20+ community development managers, owned strategy and OKRs, and set up seller-sentiment and product-feedback loops tied directly to marketplace performance.

Annualized incremental GMV

04 — Meta

How does a global strategy actually land locally?

Built community programming across EMEA and APAC, partnering with Communications, Policy and Community Development to translate global priorities into experiences shaped around each data center community.

05 — Miro

How do enterprise customers become advocates?

Created an advocacy engine giving power users inside large organizations clear ways to teach peers, host sessions and drive adoption — with 1-to-many and many-to-many champion programs integrated into Customer Success and Sales expansion.

How do you make community accountable to revenue?

Positioned community-led growth alongside sales-led and product-led motions, measured against real business outcomes: 8,250+ qualified leads a year, 14% MQL conversion, and a $1.8M+ annual budget scaled by ROI.

How do fragmented programs become one company-wide ecosystem?

Uniting community across audiences, products, advocacy, education, events, recognition and growth — shifting from product-specific communities to one connected journey across Wix.

03 / The evolution

Who I became,
not just where I worked.

The work, the scale and the business problems all changed. What held steady was learning to turn human behavior into something a company can build on.

01

I see the system, not just the program.

Product, education, events, advocacy, content, feedback, retention. The goal is never more programs — it’s making every piece of the customer journey work together.

02

People first. Then the business.

Durable community lives where a real human need meets a meaningful company goal. I go looking for that overlap before anything else.

03

I turn ambiguity into structure.

Most of my work starts without a playbook. I build the strategy, team, operating model and systems that make something fragmented actually run.

04

I build people who can lead without me.

Leadership is clarity and ownership — growing teams, leaders and advocates who move the work forward on their own.

I believe community should change behavior.

Participation alone isn’t the outcome. Do people…

Learn?Adopt?Contribute?Advocate?Stay?Buy?Refer?

That’s the line between community activity and community impact.

04 / Point of view

Community isn't

the outcome.

What people do

because of it is.

05 / Say hi

Let's build something people want to be part of.

Open to consulting engagements and senior community leadership roles. Three questions and I'll take it from there.

I’ll be in touch shortly.
